This one is for someone with an open mind... and palate.

Played around with sweet and savory flavors, and got a nice complex little treat; no lie, the frosting is my favorite thing about this recipe, and I will be making more frostings with sour cream in the future- so silky, and adds a nice tang.

There are a lot of elements to this one little frosted cookie recipe topped with brown sugar bacon; I will eventually probably share each piece of this recipe individually (cookie, frosting, and bacon), but for now, it's all bundled together in this post.

Notes:

I would store the frosting in the fridge since it has sour cream in it; I know most frostings/buttercream are good to stay out at room temperature, but I personally wouldn't risk it with the sour cream.

If the frosting is sounding a little weird to you with the sour cream and the pepper, feel free to leave out; even the cookies on their own are pretty yummy!

This was my first time using brown butter in baking, and I do feel like in the future I may tweak the recipe to make them even more buttery; they were super yummy, but I really want that amazing brown butter flavor and brown sugar flavors to whack my palate; luckily the cookies so far still hold up great for the frosting.

The bacon for me ties everything together, but of corse you can leave it off if you're not into it; I'm sure there are plenty of other garnishes you cold try- like strawberry slices- if you wanted to.
